The Willow Ridge Riders is in its inaugural year. The purpose of the club is to provide a casual and supportive social and learning environment for riders of all ages and disciplines.
One thing many members are interested in pursuing are the Equine Canada Rider Levels in English and Western and as a club we are looking to organize workshops to prepare for testing, and the testing itself in conjunction with some of the coaches at Willow Ridge. There is interest in quadrille/drill team, and trail rides. Also, maybe other ideas for clinics or events like Le Trec, Showmanship, Leather Braiding, Lunging, Groundwork. And starting real soon… a series of three winter schooling shows to be held at Willow Ridge, and open to anyone to enter!

Willow Ridge Winter Schooling Show Series – Winter
A more casual, learning-oriented show environment. Set yourself some goals this winter and gain feedback on your performance. Maybe try something new, or get a sense for just how a show “runs”. There will be three shows spread out over the winter. Anyone is welcome to enter, but priority will be given to members of the club first, and there will be a limit on the entries per class.

More about the Club

All clients (boarders, instructors, students, and “trailer-ins”) at Willow Ridge are welcome to join and participate. If you haven’t heard of it before, that’s okay, neither had anyone else until about very recently.
We had a little BBQ at the end of August and started to collect some ideas. A potluck AGM in October solidified some of these. As you can see, since then, it’s just been non-stop goal-setting, planning, and getting on with things! We don’t talk about things for long before they become reality.
